Eastern Focus
East Dorset Safer Neighbourhood teams and the
Safe Schools and Communities Team are committed to tackling anti social
behaviour through positive engagement with young people.
It was identified that living in rural East
Dorset there was a need for more positive activities for young people to engage
with in their local communities. The Focus project promotes this, challenging
and changing perceptions of young people and the wider community, promoting
social cohesion.
The Focus project in East Dorset is up and
running with 7 trained Officers in football coaching across the district. Come
along to a training session in your area. There is no fee but each team has to
complete a community project before entering tournaments.
The areas where there are trained officers are
West Moors Ferndown Ferndown Links, Colehill, Three Legged Cross and Verwood.
